5 Days Gangtok-Phodong-Lachung-Yumthang
Day 01: Siliguri or Bagdora Airport -
Gangtok
Meeting assistance on arrival at New Jalpaiguri or Siliguri or Bagdogra
and transfer to Gangtok. Evening free. Overnight in the hotel.
Day 02: Gangtok - Phodong - Lachung
Morning while on the way to North Sikkim stop at the historical
place Kabi Lungchok where the brotherhood alliance between Lepchas
and Bhutias was sealed. In Phodong we visit one of the six main
monasteries of Sikkim. Overnight in the guesthouse.
Day 03: Lachung
Lachung is a typical Bhutia village where traditions are kept alive.
Visit Lachung monastery. Overnight in the guesthouse.
Day 04: Lachung - Yumthang - Lachung
At an altitude of 3596 m a wealth of flora and fauna greets on the
wide valley of Yumthang. one can take a bath in the natural hot
spring. The Shingbah Rhododendron Park is also located in the Yumthang
valley. Over 24 types of rhododendron grow there. Overnight in the
guesthouse.
Day 05: Yumthang - Gangtok
Afterwards further tour or trek or transfer back to Siliguri/Bagdora
Airport.
