DAYS SRINAGAR-GULMARG-PAHALGAM-SONMURG TOUR
DAY
01: ARRIVE SRINAGAR
Meeting
& Assistance at the station then transfer to the Houseboat
Lunch
at the Houseboat.
Rest
of the day free to relax or for personal activities

DAY
02: SRINAGAR
Early
morning depart by cars / coach to visit the famous Mughal Gardens
visiting: NISHAT BAGH: “Garden of pleasure” designed in 1633 A.D
by Noor Jehan’s brother Asif Khan on the slopes of Zabarwan mountain
as its backdrop. This “Garden of Bliss” with ten terraces has many
carefully laid out flower beds and magnificent lawns which commands
a magnificent view of the lake and snow capped Pir Panjal Mountain
range which stands far away to the west of the valley. The trees
here and all around Srinagar are the Celebrated Chinar, originally
imported from Persia. In late summer and fall these mighty Chinar
trees turn a gorgeous reddish-golden color. Then proceed to visit
SHALIMAR BAGH: “Garden of love” built in 1616 A.D for Queen Noor
Jehan “Light of the World” by Emperor Jehangir and was extended
in 1727 A.D by Shah Jehan. It later became the inspiration for the
famous song (“Pale hands I Loved..”) During the Mughal period the
top most of the four terraces was reserved for the emperor and the
court maidens. A canal, lined with polished stones and supplied
with water from Harwan runs through the middle of the garden resplendent
with fountains and falls. At night the romantic days when little
lights glimmered in the garden and languid ladies lounged by the
pools are recalled in a Son-et-Lumiere performance, also tracing
the history of the Mughals. The garden in 539x182 Mts.

Lake . To see the life of people in the lake and floating gardens.

DAY
03: SRINAGAR/GULMARG/SRINAGAR (56 KMS O/W)
After
early breakfast depart by cars / coach to Gulmarg with packed lunch.
Upon arrival take lunch that is carried from the boats. GULMARG,
also known as “ Meadow of Flowers” This charming hill resort is
56 kms. from Srinagar at an altitude of 8,700 ft.( 2700 m). The
route from Srinagar to Gulmarg is lined with towering popular trees
and the distance is covered in 02 hours approx. Gulmarg was once
called Gauri marg in honor of Gauri, Lord Shiva’s wife. Its name
changed in 1581 A.D by king Yussuf Shah, a regular summer visitor.
The Mughal Emperor Jehangir once collected 21 different kinds of
flowers here. Gulmarg offers a magnificent view of Nanga Parbat,
one of the highest mountains in the world and is an excellent winter
sports center. It also is the highest green golf course in the world.
Evening return back to the boats.

DAY
04: SRINAGAR / PAHALGAM / SRINAGAR (97 KMS O/W)
After
early breakfast depart by cars / coach to Pahalgam with packed lunch.
“Valley of Shepherds” second only to Gulmarg in its beauty and landscape
and invigorating climate. Pahalgam is situated in the picturesque
Lidder Valley and lies 97 kms. from Srinagar by road. 7,200 ft.
(2,134 m.) above sea level, it is famous for its beautiful scenery,
flora and fauna, springs and streams. It is also the base for treks
to the higher mountains. Evening return back to the hotel.

and Overnight stay at hotel.
DAY 05: SRINAGAR / SONAMARG / SRINAGAR (95 KMS O/W)
After
early breakfast depart by cars / coach to Sonamarg with packed
lunch. At 2740 Mts. 95 kms. from Srinagar is the last major town
before Ladakh and an excellent base for trekking. Also known as
“Meadow of Gold” which coul drive from the spring flowers or from
strategic trading position it enjoys. Sonamarg has a wild mountain
beauty. Evening return back to the hotel. Dinner and Overnight stay
at hotel.
DAY
06: DEPARTURE SRINAGAR
AM
: Free for personal activities and shopping. Lunch at the houseboat.
Transfer to airport for flight to further destination.
